Illustrations from Pierre Joseph Redouté's Traité des Arbres que l’on cultive en France, published in 1819.  Belgium born Redouté served as Royal Court artist to Queen Marie Antoinette and after surviving the French Revolution became official artist of Empress Josephine.

Digitally remastered in the USA with exceptional quality from original works of art including subtle detail and patina.  Printed in Australia on fine art archival museum grade 310gsm cotton rag watercolour paper with archival pigment inks.
